There’s something incredibly special about capturing grad portraits for student-athletes, and Stephanie’s session was absolutely UNFORGETTABLE! As a member of the Clemson rowing team, she wanted portraits that honored both her academic achievement and the athletic dedication that defined her college experience. And let me tell you, we made it happen in the most beautiful way!
We started with the classics at Sikes, Tillman & Bowman because every Clemson grad deserves those iconic campus shots! Stephanie looked absolutely radiant in her cap and gown against the timeless brick architecture, and these portraits had that polished, professional quality that will serve her well for years to come. But what made her session unique was incorporating her athletic stole, which represented countless early morning practices, regattas, and the incredible discipline it takes to balance being a student-athlete at Clemson!
Then came the FUN part! On Bowman Field with Tillman Hall as her backdrop, Stephanie popped champagne in celebration, and the joy on her face was absolutely contagious!
But the absolute highlight? We ended at the rowing docks for sunset, and WOW! The golden light reflecting off the water, the docks where she spent so many hours training, the peaceful beauty of the lake—it created the most stunning, meaningful backdrop! These weren’t just pretty photos; they were portraits at the place where she pushed herself, grew stronger, and became part of something bigger than herself. With that gorgeous sunset painting everything in warm, golden tones, Stephanie’s rowing portraits became some of my absolute favorites I’ve ever captured!
